A few years ago we weren't that familiar with what electronic mail was, but today it's second nature to email items rather then fax them. With the march of email fax machines have all but become stone age equipment. More people emailing documents means there's less need to fax important documents back and forth.
How ever for some there is no substitute for sending something by fax, especially to a client that doesn't like using email. In the next few paragraphs I'm going to illustrate how easy it is to send a fax via email, all you need to do is sign up for an account with an email to fax service.
Lets get Started
Before you can send a fax with your email account you're going to need to sign up for an account with a Internet fax provider.A few of the top brands you can choose from are MyFax, Ring Central, and EFax. Any of these companies will offer you the ability to send faxes from your regular email account.
After signing up you'll be given a fax number either at your local exchange or possibly a toll-free number. This will be the number that people sending you faxes can use, you'll receive those faxes in your email account as well.
How to Send a Fax Via Email
The only difference between sending a fax via your email account and sending a regular email is who you address the message to.
Rather then sending the email to a regular email address you need to route it through your online fax service provider to the fax number you intend to send the document(s) to.How the entire process works varies from one Internet fax service to another.
Most email to fax companies have you send your email and fax documents to afaxnumber@companydomain.com so for example, sending a fax to 1-888-444-5555 with myfax service would look something like 1888444555@myfax.com.
This would then send the email body (as the cover page) as well as any documents attached to the fax number at the given number.
That's it, you're done fax sent. No printing any documents, no making a cover page you just click send and your fax is sent.
